The Three Hebrews
Come and find out what
our names really are.

The 3 Hebrews
Our names were changed to give honor to a Babylonian god, one of which we did not serve.
Daniel 1:6-7
6 Now among them were from the sons of Yahuḏah: Dani’ĕl, Ḥananyah, Misha’ĕl, and Azaryah.
7 And the chief of the eunuchs gave them names. For he called Dani’ĕl, Bĕlteshatstsar; and Ḥananyah, Shaḏraḵ; and Misha’ĕl, Mĕyshaḵ; and Azaryah, Aḇĕḏ-Neḡo.
Daniel 4:8a
Neḇuḵaḏnetstsar writes;
8 And at last Dani’ĕl, whose name is Bĕlteshatstsar, according to the name of my mighty one,

Dani’ĕl (Daniel) CHAPTER 3
Ḥananyah, Misha’ĕl, and Azaryah. Three Hebrew men who had unwavering faith and reverence for YAHUAH. Besides Dani’ĕl, they also were taken into captivity by Neḇuḵaḏnetstsar. More than once they went against the decree of the king. The first time was regarding the delicacies or food of Babylon and Dani’ĕl stood up for them and insisted they just eat vegetables and the king would see they were healthy after two weeks, after that time passed, YAHUAH proved true to them and they were healthier than the other officials in Babylon.
But this time it was more serious as the Kasdites schemed to have the 3 Hebrew men slain by King Neḇuḵaḏnetstsar. The rule was whenever all the people of Babylon heard the musical instruments they were to bow and do obeisance to the golden statue of the king. When the horn sounded, if they did not bow they were to be thrown into the fire.
The situation did arise where during the day, the musical instruments played and everyone but Ḥananyah, Misha’ĕl, and Azaryah did bow. The king was informed of this and he was very angry. And the king asked them was it true they did not bow to the statue? And he said he would have them play the instruments again. They informed him, “We have no need to answer you in this matter. If it is so, it is our Abba or Aluah, whom we serve, and will deliver us from the burning furnace and from your hands.” They went on further to say to the king “We do not serve your mighty ones, nor do we do obeisance to your golden image.”
So Angry was Neḇuḵaḏnetstsar, he had his men Super Heat the furnace 7 times hotter than usual, because of the furnace being exceedingly hot it killed the men who Super Heated it as they Ḥananyah, Misha’ĕl, and Azaryah into the furnace. In amazement the king asked didn’t we throw 3 men in the fire? The servants answered, “Yes!” And he went on to say, “There are 4 men, and one looks like the Bĕn of Elah. And he called them out the fire and praised their Aluah, YAHUAH Tsavouth in the Province of Babel.
Ḥananyah, Misha’ĕl, and Azaryah’s unshakable faith and reverence of YAHUAH spared them. They only want to remain obedient to YAHUAH and HIS will. This same incident happened to Abraham and Haman his brother but only Abrahm survived. Haman did not, he wasn’t obedient to YAHUAH, also he was double minded. This is a lesson and record to think and meditate on where we stand with YAHUAH. As we ask ourselves, how will we fare if we were in the same situation?
